About Cambridge Interlocking

A direct booking line for one vetted, insured interlock contractor working across Cambridge, Blair and Ayr.

Cambridge Interlocking is a booking line. It is not a landscaping company and it does not pretend to be one. The site exists so that someone in Cambridge with a heaved driveway or a patio to build reaches one vetted, insured interlock contractor directly, instead of filling in several forms and fielding calls from a dozen companies for two weeks.

What that means in practice: the work is done by a contractor who carries their own insurance and WSIB coverage, quotes in writing after walking the property, and is accountable for the job. Your details are not sold on or passed to a list, and you are not entered into a bidding contest.

The site is specific about permits and construction because getting them wrong is expensive. The 7-metre driveway width, the 45 per cent landscape requirement and the Access Permit are the City of Cambridge's rules as published in 2026 and they apply inside the City; Ayr is in North Dumfries Township and follows the township's rules, and driveways on Regional roads anywhere are the Region of Waterloo's permit. The base depths quoted are the CMHA/ICPI construction standard's minimums. Where a figure is the City's to confirm, such as a frost depth or whether a particular wall needs a permit, this site says so instead of making one up.

Some jobs are declined. Pavers over existing asphalt or concrete, a widening that cannot meet the City's rules, work in a heritage district on a schedule that leaves no room for the permit, and re-levelling one bay of a driveway whose whole base has failed are all better turned down than started.

How this works

When you call 289-672-1677 or send the form, your details go straight to the interlock contractor covering Cambridge, not to a list and not to a call centre. Calls go to voicemail when the crew is on a job, which is most of the working day, and the message and your number reach them at once by text and email. Expect a call back the same day or the next working day. The next step is a site visit, because an interlock quote made without looking at the ground is a guess: the visit settles the area, the access, what is under the existing surface, the drainage, the width rules that apply to your address and anything that needs a permit or a locate, and the written quote follows from that.

What we won't do

  • Publish reviews we didn't earn. When we have them, they'll be real ones with names.
  • Quote a firm price before someone has seen the job.
  • Send anyone into your property who we would not have in our own.
